We choose to buy our barrels from The Barrel Mill in Avon, Minnesota, because they are a locally owned company, keeping everything as Minnesotan as they can. Last summer we had the pleasure of touring The Barrel Mill cooperage. We think one of the reasons that they make the best barrels is that prior to charring the barrels they are toasted over oak chips. Why did we build Harmony Spirits? (the short version)
The first question our customers ask us when they visit our tasting room or see us at a tasting event is “What made you decide to open a Micro Distillery?” The answer can get lengthy, but at the core it is simple. Why are Harmony Spirits products gluten free?
Approximately 2 years ago I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease at the Mayo Clinic. I had been struggling with acid reflux for my entire life (40 plus years) and had always blown it off as “mental stress.” The culmination of my digestive issues were some incredibly painful cysts throughout my GI system.
